April is National Financial Literacy month and never has financial education been needed more than it is now. But for many Americans who have never taken the time to flex their financial muscles, the thought of shaping up their finances is akin to running a marathon on a sprained ankle. But it doesn’t have to be! Financial literacy isn’t a sprint to the finish. It is a slow and steady marathon that requires you to take small but easy-to-do actionable step; Turn your fear into focus, Find new ideas, Expand your potential, and Take charge and share.
For each of the 30 days of National Financial Literacy month I’ll be sending out a tip a day to help you stretch and strengthen your financial know-how and lead a financially fit life. No matter what time of the year you apply these principles you will begin to make a difference in your life and, by sharing, the lives of those around you. Feel free to follow me on Twitter @sharonlechter and YOUTHpreneur @YOUTHpreneur.
I welcome your feedback and stories on how you are using these tips to help lead a financially fit life. I will keep the collection of each tip in this post, but look out for them each day starting April 1.
